The South America Director is responsible for defining and executing the regional accounting and control strategy, driving the team’s performance, developing and implementing standardized, repeatable best practices for computing, reporting and executing timely and accurate financial information across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, Accounting & Reporting. This position will build and foster relationships with individuals across all businesses and corporate functions, collaborate with all areas of finance, be responsible for local country reporting, statutory and legal requirements in addition to US GAAP reporting requirements.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage the operations for the South America based Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Accounting, & Reporting, including:
- Implementing comprehensive processes that align individual and team performance to result in accurate, timely completion of all processes
- Coordinate execution of additional corporate objectives and goals that impact processes
- Responsible for driving compliance with corporate, legal and regulatory requirements in Argentina, Brazil & Colombia
- Partner with businesses and coordinate with other functions globally to standardize processes and leverage technology
- Ability to identify and implement continuous improvement across multiple ERP systems/locations
- Own the talent acquisition, development and retention strategies for the team and building depth of knowledge across the organization
- Develop and nurture a culture of innovation and continuous improvement utilizing NBS Next principles
- Assist with integration of acquisitions in South America
- Utilize OneStream for regional accounting & reporting on a monthly basis
- Performs other duties as assigned
Education and Experience Requirements
Education:
- Business/Accounting degree required or relative experience
Experience:
- A minimum of 15+ years experience of leading a rapidly growing business in a finance function
- A minimum of 8+ years of supervisory experience
- Technology use across multiple ERP systems
- Continuous improvement experience is a plus
- Experience in the Manufacturing industry a plus
