The position is predominantly remote, but the candidate needs to reside near São Paulo for occasional meetings at the office.
WHERE YOU’LL FIT WITHIN THE TEAM
In this role, you will work closely with Product Specialists and Product Managers to build and deliver a commercially successful product that spans core sectors across all regions.
The primary tasks of this role revolve around core product development, working as part of a cross-functional Agile team to design and develop NPS Prism’s interactive platform from end-to-end. This includes building and maintaining automated data pipelines, product databases, data analysis applications, survey programming, and data visualization dashboards.
Another part of the role will revolve around the continuous improvement of the NPS Prism data processes, partnering with NPS Prism’s Technical Product Managers and Tech Leads in the development of new functionalities and systems that make the product more robust and efficient.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Support customer success and adoption efforts for the region
- Support Product team in the development and delivery of new and existing NPS Prism instruments to subscription customers
- Execute big data and create client-ready visualization dashboards with coaching from the NPS Prism Data Visualization and Data Engineering leads
- Design and develop new data workflows and analytical queries to support the launch of new product instances and features
- Perform a variety of advanced statistical and data mining techniques such as, but not limited to, fraud analysis, sentiment analysis, multivariate and logistic regressions, time series analysis, etc.
- Supports team leads in problem solving, hypothesis generation, research and insight generation, and quality control.
- Communicates data, knowledge, and clearly explains insights and implications for other team members and product leads.
- Ensures zero defects across own work streams as well as those being co-managed.
- Understands client needs/context and demonstrates ability to resolve complex issues on critical work streams, working closely with Product Specialists and Product Managers.
- Ensures timely, high-quality delivery of output to clients through effective execution, quality control, and work planning.
- Provides ongoing customer support for subscription customers, such as additional data cuts and responding to questions about the data/methodology.
ABOUT YOU
Required:
- Minimum of 1+ year of relevant work experience with big data, data visualization, data engineering, database management, or data science focus in a fast-paced, complex business setting.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is required.
- Experience in building data visualization dashboards using Tableau or other data visualization engines, including the definition and implementation of calculation methodologies in attention to basic statistics and business concepts.
- Experience with ETL/visualization tools such as Alteryx, KNIME, SQL, Python, and Tableau/Power BI.
- Ability to troubleshoot queries, examining indexes, and running explain plans.
- Experience with end-to-end automated data pipelines using enterprise tooling, cloud-native services, or custom coding/development.
- Experience with traditional relational database management systems (e.g., PostgreSQL, AzureSQL, SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle) and SQL skills (DML & DDL).
- Strong communication and presentation skills, including the ability to synthesize complex data to generate simple & clear insights.
Preferred:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, or any other technology-related field preferred, or strong relevant work experience.
- Strong experience in data analysis (Data Cleaning and Preparation, Exploration and Visualization).
- Strong experience with the development of data visualization on enterprise BI platforms (e.g., Tableau (preferred), Power BI, Qlik, Domo, Looker).
- Experience with enterprise cloud-based data ingestion and transformation technologies (e.g., Talend, SnapLogic, Informatica, Alteryx Server, Tableau Cloud).
- Experience with cloud-native data services.
- Experience with survey programming.
