Ultra-Chem, Inc. (UCI) was established in 1987 as an Industrial Chemical Specialty Company serving the industrial and institutional markets. The company was founded and is still operated by the original owners. Together they have a combined knowledge of over 50 years in the chemical field. UCI has grown from 2 employees to over 150 employees, with a product line of over 300 items. UCI was named as one of the fastest growing companies in the Kansas City metropolitan area 3 years in a row. Since 1990 UCI has formulated and manufactured their products and in 1993 they started shipping products worldwide. The Role

You will be responsible for:

  1. Working closely with Team Executives as well as other support functions to provide proactive and effective general administrative assistance across a diverse range of tasks.
  2. Scheduling and coordinating meetings.
  3. Making travel arrangements and preparing expense reports.
  4. Providing other organisational support such as ordering supplies and equipment.
  5. Handling inbound calls and emails in a professional manner.
  6. Resolving customer inquiries and requests and ensuring strong customer satisfaction.
  7. Working with various internal teams to ensure prompt and accurate order processing and delivery.
  8. Escalating customer feedback as required.
  9. Documenting all financial transactions and monitoring company accounts.
  10. Managing account receivables and payables, posting financial transactions to the accounting system and making bank deposits.
  11. Administering leave records, medical and insurance claims.

Ideal Profile

  1. You have at least 1 year experience within an Admin Assistant or Customer Service role, ideally within the Professional Services and Retail industry.
  2. You are organised and have good interpersonal skills.
  3. You ideally have prior accounting experience.
  4. You have good computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  5. You possess excellent interpersonal as well as written and verbal communication skills.
  6. You are highly goal driven and work well in fast-paced environments.
  7. You are a strong team player who can manage multiple stakeholders.
  8. You pay strong attention to detail and deliver work that is of a high standard.
