Baja Aqua Farms (BAF) seeks to expand their distribution footprint to Brazil with their Bluefina brand, the world's finest bluefin tuna. With this growth plan, the company is actively seeking a Country Manager for Brazil. This person should be a commercially minded team player to spearhead sales, manage a distribution network, and oversee importing in Brazil. This is a key role in their growth strategy.
This new hire will be joining a team of passionate, committed, and successful industry leaders. The ideal candidate will have extensive sales experience, be self-motivated, a team player, and have a background in the seafood industry.
Main areas of responsibility:
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with potential and existing customers in the company's customer portfolio.
- Recognize business opportunities and have the ability to close sales.
- Be up-to-date on daily forecasts for production and inventory status for sales.
- Develop new customer relationships within the market or in new focus areas.
- Ensure that sales to customers are made in accordance with company regulations, within the given credit limit.
- Continuously assess own sales against profitability and the company's strategic direction.
- Keep up-to-date on general market developments and current market prices.
- Ensure our brand message is strong and consistent across all channels and marketing efforts.
- Identify opportunities to reach new market segments and expand market share.
- Assist with product development, pricing, and new product launches as well as develop new business opportunities.
- Assist with managing the budget for advertising and promotional items.
- Stay up to date with competitor, customer, and category insights analysis.
- Analyze sales forecasts and relevant financials and report on product sales.
- Able to travel to the corporate office in Ensenada, Baja California, when needed.

Experience & Skills:
- Completed bachelor's degree in a relevant subject, preferred.
- 5+ years of sales experience in brand development in the seafood industry.
- Strong and professional English and Portuguese language communication skills.
- Professional Spanish fluency preferred but not required.
