Sinch is seeking a dynamic and experienced Corporate Lawyer (Pleno) to join our growing Latin American Legal Team. In this role, you will be a key partner to internal stakeholders across Latin America, providing expert legal advice across multiple areas including Contracts, Litigation, Data Privacy (LGPD/GDPR), and other regulatory matters. As Sinch continues its global expansion, you will play a crucial role in building and shaping an internal legal function that supports our business objectives throughout the region.
You will be a trusted advisor to our internal teams, staying aligned with their needs while maintaining a strategic understanding of Sinch’s global vision. This hybrid position requires regular attendance at our office in São Paulo, as per team requirements.
Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with clients and suppliers.
- Provide legal guidance on a wide range of topics, including commercial contracts, AI, litigation, privacy (LGPD/GDPR), and telecommunications regulations.
- Advise on compliance with local and international regulatory frameworks, particularly in the tech and telecom sectors.
- Help implement privacy policies and data protection programs, ensuring alignment with LGPD, GDPR, and other relevant data privacy laws.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to internal teams, helping to navigate legal and commercial risks while achieving business objectives.
- Work closely with stakeholders in Latam to foster strong, cross-functional relationships.
Minimum Requirements
- Valid OAB (Ordem dos Advogados do Brasil) certification to practice law in Brazil.
- 5+ years of relevant experience, gained either at a reputable business law firm, in-house at a corporation, or with a government agency.
- Practical experience in working with international or national companies, ideally within the telecommunications industry or in the tech sector.
- Strong knowledge of tech law, with an emphasis on SaaS and contract negotiation.
- Fluent - both written and verbal - in both English and Portuguese (Spanish is a plus).
- Ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly and effectively to diverse audiences, both written and verbal.
- A proactive, solutions-oriented approach with excellent writing, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- This is a hybrid job, it is necessary to reside in São Paulo (or region) to have access to the office, according to the team's demand.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in litigation and dispute resolution.
- Expertise in data privacy, including supporting the implementation of data protection policies and programs.
- Understanding of AI and emerging technology-related legal issues.
- Knowledge of telecom regulatory frameworks.
