Develop development actions and implement environmental and sustainability standards in line with MODEC's Integrated Management System (IMS).

Responsibilities and assignments

MODEC do BRASIL is hiring an ENVIRONMENTAL COORDINATOR to work in our office in Flamengo, RJ, focused on SUSTAINABILITY and responsibilities such as described below:

• Ensure that environmental aspects and impacts generated by MODEC operations are identified, controlled and that there are contingencies that minimize or eliminate potential/real impacts.
• Develop, control and implement procedures, work instructions and tools for effective environmental management in order to prevent incidents, reduce the consumption of natural resources, manage waste generated in MODEC activities (Reduce, Reuse and Recycle), implement environmental controls related to the impacts generated (air, land and sea).
• Identify, implement, monitor and communicate environmental indicators relevant to the activities developed by MODEC (Proactive and Reactive Indicators).
• Provide support in operational and administrative management in relation to undesirable environmental events that may impact employees, contractors, suppliers, customers, community, environment, image and the company's assets.
• Identify and comply with Legal, MODEC, Industry and Customer environmental requirements.
• Support the processes of reporting, investigation, action plan, implementation of actions, lessons learned and opportunities for improvement that can prevent reoccurrences of undesirable environmental events.
• Critically analyze the organization's environmental performance, define objectives and goals and action plans for continuous improvement of the environmental system.
• Responsible for the integrity and support for effective implementation of MODEC's Environmental Management System.
• Interface with customers, contractors, suppliers and local regulatory agencies.

Requirements and qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with Postgraduate or Specialization in Environment;
• CREA or Equivalent Professional Registration (mandatory);
• Portuguese (Fluent);
• MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
