Job Description

As a member of the Global Controller team, you are responsible for:

  • Be the point of contact for both complex transactions contemplated in the Accountable Business Unit (e.g. restructurings, supplier contracts, derivatives, leases etc.) as well as other areas of technical accounting (e.g. controls, financial reporting, and auditing).

  • Work closely with Accountable Business Unit CFO to help drive the business in a compliant environment. Be the lead in Corporate reporting matters (Financial Rep Letter, Pre and Post Quarter review with Corporate, Balance sheet review etc).

  • Partner with business leaders to drive agenda and activities of the Controls and Compliance Steering Committees as well as other quarterly and monthly governance teams.

  • Involve in the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing process to understand and evaluate accounting and reporting integrity. Review Accountable Business Unit Balance sheet with Global Business Services and Segment Controller every Quarter.

  • Oversight of the Balance sheet review process in conjunction with Global Business Services.

  • Ensure controls in the Accountable Business Unit are robust and efficient, and that strong controls are implemented for business migrations and IT/robotics implementations.

  • Support Global Internal Controls team to design and implement globally standard processes and controls.

To succeed in this role, you will need the following qualifications:

  • Extensive working knowledge of Brazilian GAAP and good knowledge of US GAAP, controls and controls frameworks, SOX, financial accounting and reporting, and statutory financial statement production.

  • Experience in a multinational company.

  • Broad business acumen and analysis skills.

  • Qualified Accountant or its equivalent.

  • Fluent English.
