Job Description Summary:

This position will manage a team of compatibility analysts. This includes prioritizing projects, ensuring analysts are assigned to these projects, recruiting and developing talented resources, and providing job coaching and career planning. Responsibilities also include networking with product groups and facilities to help the team review requests and communicate product changes to improve and streamline processes.

What you will do:

  1. Analyzing product design and development changes; establishing corresponding procedures for change control and configuration.
  2. Preparing or developing configuration documentation required to support manufacturing operations.
  3. Communicating and coordinating with customers, manufacturers and other stakeholders to determine processes for change reporting.
  4. Reviewing released engineering change data and changing documentation activities to ensure compliance with configuration management policies and regulations.

Skills:

  1. Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
  2. Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
  3. Managing Multiple Priorities: Knowledge of effective self-management practices; ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation.
  4. Teamwork: Knowledge of the necessity and value of teamwork; experience with; ability to work cooperatively towards shared goals and being supportive of others at all levels.

Basic requirements:

  • University degree preferable in Engineering, IT or Technology related degrees.
  • Pre Advanced English.

Top candidates will also have:

  • Experience with SAP.
  • Engineering processes at Caterpillar.
  • Previous leadership positions.
  • Previous experience in Energy and Transportation or orders management.
