CDL Truck Driver

PURPOSE OF POSITION:

This position is responsible for transporting product for The Arthur Companies.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Operate company-owned and/or leased trucks
2. Perform completion of all required reporting
3. Maintain all required certifications required by DOT, OSHA and company safety programs
4. Maintain company property in excellent condition
5. Inspect truck before and after trips, requesting repair as needed
6. Read bill of lading to determine assignments
7. Secure trailer during transit
8. Assist or individually be responsible for loading or unloading of the truck
9. Service truck with oil, fuel and other required fluids
10. Drive applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations
11. Follow all applicable traffic laws
12. Follow accident procedures if an accident occurs
13. Perform other tasks as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

1. CDL Class A License with a Medical Card
2. Three years of driving experience preferred
3. Acceptable driving record
4. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, and a team player
5. Ability to:
1. Lift a minimum of 50 lbs
2. Stand or sit for extended periods of time
3. Work in dust
4. Open traps on trailers/trucks
5. Climb a ladder of varying heights
