You will be part of the Operations Department in a multinational company, moving freight from all over the world and dealing all aspects of quoting, forwarding, customs and 3rd parties through to completion. You will experience a variety of languages and cultures and will have exciting opportunities to enhance and develop your career with OIA. It’s up to you where your ‘road’ takes you in our company.
You will be responsible for:
Operations
Research and plan the most appropriate route for shipment.
Ensure that our technology platform is used to create/maintain highly efficient processes.
Adhere to company-wide quality processes are implemented and maintained.
Ensure compliance with existing Quality systems (AEO, ISO etc).
Build and develop successful supplier relationships.
Ensure all jobs are completed in accordance with the company’s operating procedures.
Obtain, check and prepare documentation to meet customs and insurance requirements, packaging specifications, and compliance with overseas countries’ regulations and fiscal regimes.
Maintain visibility and control through all phases of the journey, including the production of management reports, statistical and unit cost analyst.
Complete customs formalities or sub-contracting services.

Customer Service
Reporting back to clients keeping them up to date with the progress of the goods Create a culture of excellence in the way you provide customer service.
Develop existing and new business with support from the business development teams and Branch Managers.
Be proactive in communication/relationship building with customers and ensure that they are visited regularly.
Leverage OIA's unique products and verticals to create new opportunities.
Optimise every opportunity to help the customer and expand our business
Strive to retain customers during any service issues.
Arrange insurance and assist the client in the event of a claim.
Provide advice on the most commercially viable method of transporting goods.
Work closely with customers, colleagues and third parties to ensure smooth operations to deadlines.
Deliver (alternative) solutions to customers where possible to minimise the impact on the scheduled delivery upon changes to the schedule.
Be proactive when faced with problems.
What we need from you:
Previous experience in the freight forwarding industry
As we are a US based Company with the Regional Headquarters in London, England, you must be fluent in both written and spoken English as well as the ability to speak the local language.
A high level of energy with a "can-do" positive attitude and entrepreneurial spirit
