Group Trucks Purchasing (GTP) is the global group function covering the purchase of automotive products and parts including aftermarket, for Volvo Group Truck brands. We are looking for a Buyer, in Curitiba, Brazil, that will lead purchasing activities related to North America region.

We are a group of highly dedicated and skilled professionals, contributing to segment strategies and active members of the global network of commodity buyers responsible for selecting the right suppliers, and continuously securing the best supplier QDCFTSR performance (Quality, Delivery, Cost, Feature, Technology, Sustainability and Risk Management).

You will report to the Head of the North America/South America Collaboration Purchasing and will be based in Curitiba, Brazil.

You will be leading the purchasing activities on your scope with all internal and external stakeholders to ensure maximum customer satisfaction. You will be negotiating QDCFTSR of the supplier base under your segments. You will perform purchasing activities related to ordering, logistics, and financial flows to the suppliers.

You will be responsible for ensuring the segment strategy is updated/implemented through the selection of the right suppliers, and by continuously challenging supplier QDCFTSR performance using tools and purchasing/cross-functional network during production and after production for Revenue segments.

• Fluent in English, both written and spoken
• Experience in purchasing and negotiation within supplier relationships
• Experience within the manufacturing industry
• Proven negotiation and communication skills
• Strong business acumen, agile in way of working
• Positive attitude, service-minded, and target-oriented approach
• Desire to work in a collaborative team towards a common purpose
• Strong team player with the ability to lead
• Ability to be open-minded, encourage collaboration, and add value with a continuous improvement mindset.
• Motivated by change management and ability to drive change
• University degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent working experience
• Multicultural experience
• Willingness to travel occasionally.

Group Trucks Purchasing has 125 BSEK in purchasing annual spend and 2,550 supply chain partners in serial production.
