Your role

Are you intellectually curious how an institutional trading business can be run effectively? Are you excited to solve problems by asking questions, connecting dots and constantly learning? Are you organized with an eye for detail? We’re looking for highly driven, analytical, creative problem solvers to join our Brazil COO team to support part of the Global Markets trading business.

1. Developing an in-depth understanding of the business (e.g. products, front to back flows, revenues, costs, personnel, strategic plan, initiatives, etc.).
2. Helping define the global and local strategies and drive and implement new business initiatives.
3. Managing the Business Management portfolio, including strategic projects, front to back controls, regulatory initiatives and analyzing and resolving business issues.
4. Coordinating and managing relationships with Technology, Operations, Compliance, Finance and Risks.
5. Independent leadership of special projects while operating with a high degree of autonomy and accountability.
6. Evaluating and mitigating risks through completing deep-dives and ad-hoc projects.

Your team

You’ll be working in the Global Markets COO team in São Paulo. Your team is responsible for a broad portfolio of activities centered around acting as a strategic enabler to the business, overseeing the integrity of the front to back control environment, and managing the change portfolio.

Your expertise

1. Well organized with a logical thought process and an interest in the financial markets.
2. Ability to make timely and independent judgement decisions while working in a results driven environment.
3. Capacity to understand new processes and quickly evaluate issues in order to prioritize work and design solutions to benefit the business.
4. Strong communication (oral and written) presentation and interpersonal skills to liaise with members of the organization at all levels.
5. Consensus building and partnership approach. Able to collaborate across different teams and comfortable working, and networking, across diverse businesses and personalities.
6. Analytical and capable of presenting and interpreting information to support decision making.
7. Solid English and Portuguese skills.
8. Availability to work on-site in Sao Paulo.
