Job Title : Business Development Manager – Sales & Distribution (Agribusiness)

Location : São Paulo, Brazil / Durban (South Africa)

Organization : Indorama Fertilizers

Nationality : Brazilian / South African

Experience Required : Minimum 5 years in sales / business development, preferably in the fertilizer or agricultural industry

Indorama Fertilizers is one of the leading urea fertilizer producers, with a robust presence in global markets. We are expanding into South America to strengthen our footprint and enhance value delivery. We are seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager to lead our growth efforts in Brazil.

Key Responsibilities

Sales and Market Development :

  • Identify and capitalize on growth opportunities in the Brazilian fertilizer market.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to maximize profitability and align with company goals.
  • Negotiate and finalize CFR sales agreements in line with management guidelines.
  • Gather and report real-time market intelligence, including pricing trends, competitor activity, and customer requirements.
  • Monitor the agricultural landscape in Brazil, including farm-level activities and supply-demand trends, providing periodic updates to the management.
  • Design and establish an in-country distribution model for fertilizers, ensuring seamless delivery and market coverage.
  • Act as the Brand Ambassador for Indorama in Brazil, enhancing brand visibility and credibility.

Customer Relationship Management :

  • Cultivate and maintain strong partnerships with blenders, distributors, cooperatives, and other key stakeholders.
  • Understand customer needs to deliver tailored fertilizer solutions.
  • Proactively address customer queries and concerns to ensure satisfaction and loyalty.

Qualifications and Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration or Business Management from a reputable business school.
  • Proven track record in sales and business development within the fertilizer or agribusiness sectors.
  • Deep knowledge of the Brazilian agricultural market, including distribution channels and customer dynamics.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with global teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to navigate market complexities.

Reporting Line

  • Reports directly to the Export Sales Head.
