Mid-Level Backend Software Developer

Requirements: To make simple things easy and complex things possible, besides learning together, we need some starting points listed below. All topics serve the purpose of starting a good conversation. We are extremely interested in your potential.

Required:

• Experience with Java, Kotlin, or Scala (new microservices are being created in Kotlin, but we have some microservices in Java).
• Knowledge of the Spring Framework and its ecosystem.
• Experience with distributed systems and architectures.
• Familiarity with tools for production deployment like Docker, ECS, Fargate, Kubernetes, etc.
• Experience with event processing or message queues with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or SQS (we use Kafka quite a bit).
• Usage of CI/CD principles for fast and continuous delivery of value to customers.
• Experience developing features/products from conception to code delivery into production.
• Proficiency with Git as a version control system.
• Ability to create robust solutions for complex problems.
• Experience with observability practices (Logging, Metrics, Tracing) within Microservices Architecture.
• Experience with SQL and common NoSQL databases like Oracle, Postgres, MongoDB.
• Experience working on projects using Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, XP, etc.).
• Good understanding and communication skills in English at a professional level.
• Ability to mentor other developers.
• Ability to lead troubleshooting sessions during critical incidents, document appropriately, and conduct postmortem sessions.
• Good understanding of software engineering and computer science concepts.
• Experience analyzing code adherence to common security standards within the software industry.
• Experience designing high availability APIs.
• Experience preparing architectural documentation and expressing complexity through effective use of diagrams in RFCs, ADRs, Microservice Canvas, and other technical documentation.

Desirable:

• Open-mindedness to new challenges, such as learning new languages, frameworks, and technology stacks.
• Experience in Reactive Systems Programming.
• Interest in Machine Learning.

Some experience deploying products or working with cloud providers like AWS or Azure.
