AWS Solutions Architect - Education, Field-AGS-Brazil-ENT-PS-VAR
The AWS is seeking an experienced Solutions Architect to provide expert guidance to some of our largest Education customers.
AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Creating and executing the technical strategy alongside sales and business development to delight our Enterprise customers and partners from Public Sector marketing.
- Ensuring success in building and migrating applications, software, and services on the AWS platform.
- Partnering with customers and several AWS teams to craft highly scalable, flexible, and resilient cloud architectures that provide solutions to solve customer business problems and accelerate the adoption of AWS services.
- Educating customers on the value proposition of AWS and participating in deep architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment in the cloud.
- Capturing and sharing best-practice knowledge amongst the AWS solutions architect community, including authoring or contributing to AWS customer-facing publications such as whitepapers and blogs.
Basic Qualifications:
- 8+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience.
- 5+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience.
- Experience architecting infrastructure solutions using both Linux/Unix and Windows with specific recommendations on server, load balancing, HA/DR, & storage architectures.
- Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences, including executive level stakeholders or clients.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with end user or developer communities.
- Experience with presentations and speaking with executives, IT, management, and developers.
- Experience working with education institutions such as Universities, Research, and K12.
