AvSec Manager, Brazil, Aviation Security

The Amazon Aviation Security (AvSec) team is seeking an enthusiastic, customer-obsessed AvSec Security Specialist to provide support and oversight for x-ray screening operations in Brazil. This is a new initiative for the transportation supply chain to secure the supply chain for air cargo on passenger aircraft.

Key job responsibilities:

1. Support the Regional AvSec Manager and ensure compliance with corporate policies, federal regulations, and standardized processes.
2. Manage ambiguity through knowledge and experience to allocate resources to meet daily goals.
3. Manage processes and vendor x-ray screening operators to secure the supply chain for external fulfillment to air.
4. Assist with developing the workforce to meet long-term process targets.
5. Verify compliance with security procedures and regulatory standards, including physical security design standards and policies.
6. Utilize Security Management Systems (SeMS) processes for risk mitigation.
7. Develop new and evaluate existing security standards by establishing workflows, SLAs, and operational excellence mechanisms to ensure customer outcomes are data-driven, measured, and validated.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's Degree or Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in security or related field, or 2 years of professional experience.
2. Experience with all Microsoft Office applications.
3. Advanced English proficiency.
4. Experience in a customer service-driven environment.
5. Experience conducting workplace risk investigations.
6. Experience in one or all of the following disciplines: corporate security management, transportation/supply chain security, AvSec.
