Their primary focus is on lesson plan implementation and the academic and behavioral development of learners. Associate Educators play a key role in the educational process by collaborating with other educators to ensure an effective learning environment, assisting in lesson plan implementation, supporting learners’ academic and behavioral growth, and contributing to a positive school atmosphere.

Responsibilities

  • Classroom Assistance: Assist educators with classroom management, instructional activities, and administrative tasks such as grading or preparing materials. • Specialized Support: Collaborate with educators to adapt teaching practices to meet the specific needs of learners. Insert notes and reflections on projects covered in class with attention to differentiation. Develop texts in both English and Portuguese according to the guidance of the lead educator.
  • Support in Extra Activities: Provide support during extracurricular activities and events.
  • Safety Monitoring: Help maintain a safe and secure environment by supervising learners in the classroom and common areas such as hallways, cafeteria, and playground, promptly reporting any safety concerns to the appropriate personnel. Responsible for the arrival and dismissal process, ensuring learners are only released to registered guardians.
  • Data Collection: Collect data on learner progress, attendance, behavior incidents, or other relevant information to inform instructional planning and decision-making. Ensure that relevant information is shared with the lead educator or leadership. Maintain records of activities with pending tasks.

Requirements and Qualifications
