The Executive Medical Manager is a high profile, strategic in-country leadership role, with principal responsibility for leading and building the medical organization and developing the scientific and medical strategy that support the continuing success of Allergan Aesthetics in the country. As a member of the country leadership team, the Executive Medical Manager is the direct link between the aesthetics R&D organization and the local country aesthetics team. Additionally, will work closely with the Regional Medical Director to ensure we operate efficiently as one AbbVie organization.
In this capacity, the role manages Medical Science Liaisons (MSLs) and Medical Managers. This key leadership role requires a thorough understanding of all aspects of drug & device development through to commercialization that are relevant for the country. These may include late stage development activities, pre- and post-launch medical and scientific activities, including the development and execution of core scientific activities and programs to ensure launch excellence of new products in the country.
Key responsibilities include:
Education and Experience
· Doctor of Medicine degree, PhD, PharmD
· Minimum of 2 years medical research and clinical work experience or practice
· Minimum 5 years broad pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical industry experience
· Team management experience, preferably of medical affairs teams
· Relevant therapeutic area knowledge experience desirable

· Demonstrated understanding of drug & device development, deep practical knowledge of Good Clinical Practice and commercialization processes, have sound and current knowledge of the legal and regulatory requirements and a solid understanding of trial design and methodology
· Recent experience in launching new innovative products and supporting access for patients

· Demonstrated ability to participate within an executive team and contribute to the development and implementation of winning strategies for the company overall with high integrity and strong work ethic
