The Account Manager for the Taste & Nutrition business in the west coast US is responsible for developing a commercial strategy, managing a diverse portfolio of flavors technologies and ingredients, collaborating with customers to create customized solutions, and expanding market reach for the non-alcoholic beverage business across the region. The incumbent will work extensively with the customer's buying team to architect customized and value-added finished product solutions.

Key responsibilities

  • Prospect and “close” new business opportunities through standard product, custom product and integrated solution selling.
  • Proactively defend and expand our sizable base of core business
  • Identify, cultivate, and manage a healthy pipeline of growth opportunities through market research and critical insights
  • Manage a large portfolio of diverse projects across Kerry functions in order to service Key Customers using Salesforce.
  • Provide innovative, customer focused ideas to Key Customers by understanding their brands, platforms and strategies.
  • Foster intimate relationships both with Key customers and within Kerry, facilitating cross-functional connections.
  • Participate in business pricing decisions. Manage complex pricing models aligned with Key Customers expectations.
  • Act as the face of Kerry, understanding customer needs, priorities, and ambitions. Leverage our relevant know-how and technology portfolio to help customers achieve their goals

Qualifications and skills

  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in business, sciences, or related fields.
  • 3+ years of commercial experience including flavor sales within food ingredient manufacturing.
  • Self-starter with intrinsic motivation, capable of charting their own course.
  • Proven track record of organizational skills; effective follow up, attention to detail, planning skills.
  • Proficient in remote / hybrid work, collaborating effectively using digital tools.
  • Proven track record of developing and growing customer business.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, results-oriented work environment.
  • Excellent facilitation and presentation abilities.
  • Communication skills; must be able to speak confidently in food science and food processing conversations with customers.
  • Strong judgment, financial acumen, and negotiation skills.
  • Availability to travel
  • Entrepreneurial mindset who will treat the assigned account as their own business. Required skills include creativity, value proposition selling, and excellent customer management abilities to support existing platforms and identify new value-added product categories.
  • Preferred location : West Coast US. CaliforniaArea would be a significant advantage.

Compensation Data

The typical hiring range for this role is $89,175 to $134,984 annually and is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, location, etc. In addition to your pay, Kerry offers benefits such as a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and retirement contribution (all benefits and incentives are subject to eligibility requirements).
