Main job function

Candidate will execute a variety of senior conveyancing paralegal duties of a confidential nature. These tasks will include working with attorneys, paralegals, and other members of the firm with a series of administrative functions.

• Registration of subdivision, consolidation and servitudes.
• Opening of sectional and township registers.
• Drafting of commercial bonds (mortgage and notarial) for institutions such as STD Bank, Nedbank, Investec, Grindrod, and African Bank.
• Handle all aspects of the conveyancing process, including document preparation, client communication, and liaising with relevant parties.
• Handling bonds and transfers with precision and efficiency.
• Facilitating and finalizing cancellations.
• Assist with property transfers and related legal procedures.
• Manage deadlines and ensure timely completion of all conveyancing tasks.
• Maintain accurate records and files.

Qualifications

• National Diploma or equivalent.

Criteria

• Minimum 5-10 years’ experience working in a conveyancing environment.
• Experienced paralegal with both transfer and bonds experience with FNB, Standard Bank, and Nedbank.
• Good command of the English language.
• Knowledge of basic numeracy and literacy skills.
• Knowledge of FICA.
• Typing speed of 45+ wpm.
• In-depth knowledge of the full spectrum of conveyancing transactions is essential.
• Own transport essential.
