Conveyancing Paralegal

Our client, a well-established Legal Practice is requiring a Conveyancing Paralegal to join their team. The purpose of this role is executing a variety of conveyancing paralegal duties of a confidential nature. These tasks will include working with attorneys, paralegals, and other members of the firm with a series of administrative functions.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Receiving instructions from various banks to attend to the registration of mortgage bonds
2. Preparing various transfer, bond, and related conveyancing documents independently
3. Drafting of residential/home loan mortgage bond documents for the major banks
4. Contacting and liaising with clients, municipalities, SARS, managing agents, banks, and attorneys
5. Attending to the collection of costs from clients
6. Compiling and amending documents for lodgement and registration
7. Attending to the deed’s office process and the bank's processes to successfully register transactions
8. Attending to all financial aspects of all transactions, including final accounts
9. Preparing debit notes, credit notes, and other accounting queries
10. Matric/National Diploma or equivalent qualification
11. Minimum 6-10 Years’ experience working in a conveyancing environment
12. Experienced paralegal with both transfer and bonds experience with Standard Bank and Nedbank Bank
13. Computer Literate (MS Office Suite) including Excel
14. In-depth knowledge of the full spectrum of conveyancing transactions is essential
15. Knowledge of FICA
