Role Position

We are hiring a Standby Teacher for our Kids’ Coding Class in Malaysia [On-site Job]

Branch Address: Senawang, Seremban

Role Description

This is a contract role for a Standby Teacher at Timedoor. As a Standby Teacher, you will be responsible for assisting in various teaching activities, including lesson preparation, student supervision, and classroom management. This is an on-site role located in Georgetown, and you will be expected to provide support to parents and students as needed.

Teachers for kids do not need any fundamentals in coding; only teaching experience or a passion for teaching is required. Teachers for teens are required to have learned basic coding, primarily JavaScript. No teaching experience is needed for teen teachers since there will be special training to understand our teaching style.

Responsibilities:

1. Teaching Programming to Teens or Kids
2. Reporting teaching results to parents
3. Offering programs based on student needs and competency
4. Cooperating in teamwork to improve teaching quality

Competencies:

1. Coding experience, especially in JavaScript/Python/LUA, is preferred for the Teen's class
2. Teaching experience is preferred for the Kid's class
3. Good communication skills to work in a team
4. Discipline, responsibility, and a mindset to code the student’s future with IT education

Working Schedule:

Must be available to stand by at our center during the following times:

Wednesday to Friday: 7 PM - 9 PM

Saturday: 9 AM - 3 PM

Contract Period:

Initial 3-month project-based contract with the possibility of extension based on project continuation and performance. Opportunity for a one-year contract extension upon the continuation of the project.

1. Excellent communication skills and a passion for education
2. Able to communicate and negotiate with customers
3. Experience working with students in a classroom setting
4. Ability to work well in a team and follow instructions from supervisors
5. Strong organizational and time management skills
6. Flexibility and adaptability to changing circumstances and student needs
7. Proficiency in relevant subject areas
