You'll be preparing for roles where analysts are expected to:
- Analyse historical and forecast financials
- Build and interpret valuation models (DCF, trading comps, transaction comps)
- Understand how real M&A deals are structured and negotiated
- Support due diligence processes
- Prepare investment memos and board-level materials
- Work directly with senior bankers, PE professionals and corporates
A career in M&A allows for significant remuneration packages and strong career progression across finance.
- A job with high earning potential: all roles include a base salary and bonus. These packages vary significantly based on the firm, with entry level roles receiving base salaries of up to $150,000 with a bonus of up to 100% of the base salary.
