Brief: A new vacancy for an experienced Registered Manager to manage a small-sized Residential Care Home for the elderly and dementia residents in Norwich.
Key Points
- Working as a Home Manager of a Residential elderly care home and you will be responsible for all the runnings of the care home.
- You must have or be working towards NVQ Level 5 in Healthcare Management.
- Have at least 2 years of experience as a Registered Manager of an Elderly Residential Care Home.
- Excellent knowledge of CQC, ability to hit the ground running and excellent communication skills.
- Hours: Full time (40hrs), Day shift, Mon - Fri, 9 - 5 and will involve some oncall duties.
- Salary: up to £38,000 per year.
The Care Home & Group
This Care Home is small-sized and carefully renovated with good facilities. The care team provides Residential and Dementia care for residents. The home has a Good CQC rating and they require a Manager to maintain this level.
The Care Home is part of a small Care Group, where you will receive support from a strong deputy manager and the director. The Care Group backs its employees and new team members, aiming to give staff and residents a “Family Feel” in the home, all staff have the most up-to-date training to ensure that they can offer a high level of care and support.
Role & Responsibilities
- Provide management and leadership to the Deputy Manager, a Unit Manager and a team of Care Assistants.
- You are responsible for all the finance within the home, working to a budget and reporting a business strategy back to the Directors yearly.
- Day-to-day management of the home, confirming holidays, delegating to staff and managing performance reviews.
- You will be working closely with CQC and aiming to maintain a Good in all areas of the home overall.
Home Manager Experience Requirement
- Working towards or have Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care /Social Work Qualification.
- You have managed a care home previously for at least two years.
- A proven track record in the management & delivery of high-quality care within a residential care home.
- You have worked in a home where you maintained a Good CQC rating.
- Must have great communication and organisational skills.
