We have an exciting opportunity for a Custody Support Worker to join our CFO Evolution team. You’ll be required to carry out tasks for a caseload of participants in a correctional setting, starting with the first engagement and evaluation.
Participants will receive motivational support and direction to help them stay engaged throughout the duration of their sentence. You'll provide both group work and one-on-one interventions to help participants overcome obstacles and reintegrate into their communities, facilitating a seamless integration into the community.
Our successful candidate will ideally have experience in probation/social care or experience working within the criminal justice sector. Supporting participants through their challenges can indeed be emotionally overwhelming for support workers. You'll need to be strong, resilient, and robust within the support systems. Building a strong, empathetic relationship with participants is essential for understanding their needs. Establishing this trust is crucial but can take time, especially with participants who have had negative experiences in the past.
Helping one person might not change the whole world, but it could change the world for one person. Go ahead and apply today.
In return for your dedication, knowledge, and commitment, we offer a competitive salary of £24,650 - £29,000 per annum (dependent on experience) with these great benefits:
