EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW
Our highly innovative Information Security team do a wonderful job protecting our business, our people, and our customers from these daily threats and you have an opportunity to join the team as our Cyber Security Analyst.
In this role you will play a key role in ensuring that the business’ technology assets are protected and monitored from cyber threats, while also ensuring that there is an effective cyber security system developed, with effective day-to-day use and management of security operations processes and key controls to identify and respond to issues.
You will support in the reduction of Severn Trent’s risk exposure to security incidents and deploy remedial activity for risks associated with unauthorised data loss, unauthorised access to critical technology and systems, or financial fraud. We’ll look for you to leverage and continuously improve the key security operations and controls within our Cyber defences while in pursuit of identifying and responding to unusual activity, such as logging and monitoring, endpoint protection and vulnerability management.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE
You’ll join the team with experience of working within an Information Security operations and engineering environment, with further experience in the development and documentation of integrated solution and detailed designs.
We’ll ideally be looking for you to have dedicated experience in the cyber security operations, dealing with complex issues and have an excellent knowledge of technologies such as Windows, Unix, and Networking. We’ll look for you to have demonstrated experience in conducting cyber security risk and vulnerability assessments as well as experience in working within and improving cybersecurity key control environments.
