As Workshop Manager you’ll manage the safe, efficient and effective maintenance provision of Manchester Airport’s vehicles and those of Third Party Customers to ensure they are compliant with all statutory legal obligations of the DVSA and all relevant policies and procedures contained within The Civil Aviation Publication 642 and the Manchester Airport Aerodrome Manual Airside Standing Instruction 32. You’ll deliver a best in class, value for money service to both internal and external customers, whilst ensuring a culture of safety in a fast paced operational environment.
You’ll also promote continuous improvement for colleagues, infrastructure, equipment and technology to drive efficiencies, reduce asset down time and sustain profitable revenue streams, and manage and maintain ground fuelling operations to support Manchester Airport Operations.
We’re looking for someone with experience managing a HGV or PCV vehicle workshop and a minimum of a Level 3 qualification in HGV Motor Vehicle Repair. You’ll be experienced in leading large teams, providing direction and support whilst fostering a culture of trust and inclusion and empowering people to take ownership. You’ll also have the ability to make decisions, use reasoning and solve technical problems in a fast paced environment.
