If you're compassionate, creative, and dedicated to making a difference, we’d love for you to be part of our team!

About the Role:

In this role, you will be responsible for enhancing the physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing of our residents by designing and implementing activities and programs that promote a positive and fulfilling life. You’ll play a key role in improving the quality of life for our residents by providing a variety of activities that are tailored to their individual needs and preferences.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Activity Planning & Delivery: Plan, organize, and lead a variety of engaging activities such as arts and crafts, exercise, music therapy, social events, and outdoor activities to enhance residents' physical and mental wellbeing.
  • Personalized Wellbeing Plans: Develop and implement individual wellbeing plans tailored to the unique needs and preferences of each resident.
  • Resident Engagement: Build meaningful relationships with residents to understand their interests and create activities that improve their overall quality of life.
  • Social Support: Foster a sense of community by promoting social interaction, creating opportunities for residents to connect with one another, and supporting family and friends’ involvement in activities.
  • Health Monitoring & Collaboration: Monitor residents’ health and wellbeing progress, providing regular updates to the care team. Collaborate with nurses and healthcare professionals to adjust wellbeing programs as needed.
  • Staff Support & Training: Support and mentor other care staff in promoting wellbeing practices and integrating activities into daily care routines. Provide training to staff on the importance of wellbeing and how to engage residents.
  • Event Planning: Coordinate special events, outings, and seasonal activities to celebrate holidays, birthdays, and special occasions.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of wellbeing activities and progress, ensuring compliance with care home regulations and reporting requirements.
  • Promote Emotional Wellbeing: Provide emotional support to residents, offering a listening ear and encouraging residents to express their feelings and needs in a safe environment.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Previous experience in a wellbeing or activities coordinator role, preferably in a care home or healthcare setting.
  • A relevant qualification in health, social care, or wellbeing (e.g., NVQ Level 2/3 in Health and Social Care, or similar).
  • A genuine passion for supporting and enhancing the lives of older adults or people with care needs.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage with a diverse group of residents and staff.
  • Creative, innovative, and organized, with the ability to plan and execute a variety of activities.
  • Understanding of the physical, emotional, and social needs of elderly individuals.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, ensuring that wellbeing activities are integrated seamlessly into daily care routines.
