Job description

Meridian Business Support are delighted to be working with a leading provider of bespoke warehousing and distribution services to recruit for a Warehouse Supervisor for their depot in Eastleigh.

Main responsibilities of role:

1. Supervise and coordinate the activities of warehouse staff to ensure optimal performance and adherence to company policies.
2. Oversee shipping and receiving operations, ensuring accurate documentation and timely processing of goods.
3. Implement and maintain effective business processes to enhance operational efficiency within the warehouse.
4. Manage inventory control, including materials handling, stock rotation, and minimizing discrepancies.
5. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a culture of safety within the team.
6. Conduct regular training sessions for staff on equipment operation, including forklift usage and heavy lifting techniques.

This role will be to oversee daily operations within the warehouse environment.

The working hours are Monday to Friday 08.00hr till 17.00hr.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient warehouse processes, managing a team, and maintaining high standards of safety and productivity. This role requires strong leadership skills and a thorough understanding of logistics, shipping, and receiving.

£30,000 per year.

The successful candidate will have:

1. Proven experience in warehouse management or a similar supervisory role.
2. Strong knowledge of logistics, shipping, receiving, and materials handling practices.
3. Familiarity with business processes relevant to warehouse operations.
4. Experience in team management with excellent leadership capabilities.
5. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work.
6. FLT License advantageous (reach truck).
