Job Title: Technical Assurance Manager - Cyber Security (15738)

Location: Luton/Hybrid

Role Overview:

The Technical Assurance Manager is part of the Digital Safety Assurance team, overseeing easyJet’s cyber security posture. This role acts as the 2nd line of defence, providing oversight of Cyber Security Controls in line with Digital Safety policy, security standards, and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Overseeing, educating and assessing the implementation of Digital Safety policies and security standards.
  2. Safeguarding company data throughout all processes and systems.
  3. Validating threat models produced as part of the project design process.
  4. Conducting security assessments and raising identified cyber risks into the risk management process.
  5. Identifying control failures related to security threats and compliance requirements.
  6. Recommending technical and organisational measures to meet compliance with regulations, including GDPR.
  7. Developing and implementing strategies to embed control effectiveness.
  8. Fostering a culture of security and awareness within the organisation.
  9. Delivering training sessions on cyber security and data protection.
  10. Preparing reports on Technical Assurance activities and presenting them to management.
  11. Supporting during security incidents to minimize cyber-attacks or data loss.

Key Skills:

  1. Technical cyber security knowledge and practical experience of cloud computing technologies (AWS, GCP, Azure).
  2. Understanding of data protection, cyber security, privacy, and confidentiality.
  3. Understanding of access control in data protection.
  4. Understanding of protection controls applied to data throughout its lifecycle.
  5. Experience implementing data security standards such as ISO27001, PCI DSS, NIST CSF.
  6. Ability to manage cyber security risks and communicate effectively with stakeholders.

Desirable Skills:

  1. Experience leading a Cyber Security Assurance function.
  2. Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent experience) in Cybersecurity or related field.
  3. Professional Information Security certification (CCSP, CISM, CISSP, etc.).

  2. Customer and Shareholder Value: Understanding customer needs and prioritizing safety.
