Job Title: Store Manager

Location: 70-72 Bethnal Green Road, Shoreditch, London

Reports to: Commercial Director

Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity to lead a brand-new multi-brand luxury boutique opening in the heart of Shoreditch at 70-72 Bethnal Green Road. We are looking for a passionate and experienced Store Manager to launch and oversee this dynamic retail destination, ensuring it becomes a go-to space for luxury fashion and elevated service.

As Store Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales, leading an exceptional team, managing stock, and supporting marketing and events that bring the store to life. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the luxury retail market, outstanding leadership skills, and a passion for delivering an unparalleled customer experience.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Store Leadership & Performance
    • Oversee the daily operations of the boutique, ensuring a seamless and luxury-driven shopping experience.
    • Lead by example, driving sales and motivating the team to achieve and exceed store targets.
    • Monitor store performance, analyse key metrics, and implement strategies to optimise revenue and customer satisfaction.
    • Manage store budgets, ensuring all expenditures align with financial objectives.
  2. Team Development & Management
    • Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team that embodies the boutique’s luxury brand values.
    • Create a positive and engaging work environment, fostering teamwork and exceptional service.
    • Conduct regular team meetings, provide ongoing coaching, and implement training initiatives to enhance skills and performance.
    • Oversee staff rotas, ensuring efficient staffing levels to meet customer demand.
  3. Client Experience & Relationship Building
    • Maintain the highest standards of customer service, ensuring every client enjoys a personalised and memorable shopping experience.
    • Build and nurture strong relationships with clients, encouraging loyalty and repeat business.
    • Work closely with the team to enhance the client journey, offering styling expertise and private shopping services.
    • Handle customer queries and complaints efficiently and professionally, ensuring swift resolution.
  4. Events & Marketing Support
    • Work with the Marketing team to plan, promote, and execute in-store events, brand collaborations, and VIP client experiences.
    • Manage event logistics, including liaising with vendors, setting up displays, and ensuring all aspects align with the boutique’s luxury image.
    • Assist in creating content for store social media channels, capturing key moments from in-store events, new arrivals, and styling inspirations.
    • Act as a brand ambassador, building relationships with high-net-worth clients, local influencers, and industry professionals.
  5. Stock & Visual Merchandising Management
    • Oversee stock levels, ensuring efficient stock control and minimising discrepancies.
    • Work with the Buying and Merchandising teams to manage deliveries, stock rotation, and replenishment.
    • Ensure visual merchandising is executed to the highest standard, following brand guidelines and seasonal themes.
    • Maintain an organised and efficient back-of-house area, ensuring quick access to high-demand products.
  6. Compliance & Loss Prevention
    • Ensure the store complies with health and safety regulations and luxury retail standards.
    • Implement loss prevention strategies, training staff on best practices for stock security and POS transactions.
    • Conduct regular stock audits and take necessary actions to minimise loss and shrinkage.
Key Skills & Experience
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in luxury retail management, ideally in a multi-brand environment.
  • Education: Degree in Business, Retail Management, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills, with a focus on motivation and development.
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in retail software, including POS and stock management systems.
  • Knowledge of social media platforms and content creation for luxury retail.
  • Strong financial acumen, with experience in budgeting and forecasting.
