Shipping Manager - Fine Art

Up to £55,000 depending on experience

Location: London - Onsite

A well-established leading fine art gallery with a focus on modern and contemporary art. They have multiple London locations and ship internationally to HNWI, priding themselves on providing a quality service. Your role will be overseeing the scheduling and execution of both domestic and international shipments, ensuring safe delivery.

What will you do as a Shipping Manager?

1. Obtain and negotiate shipping quotes for inbound and outbound artwork shipments
2. Manage bespoke shipments, including packing, paperwork, and regulatory compliance
3. Monitor international and domestic shipments, troubleshooting issues efficiently
4. Ensure all shipments comply with local and international shipping regulations
5. Coordinate with internal teams to deliver projects cost-effectively and on time
6. Escalate critical issues to the Head of Department when necessary

What will you need as a Shipping Manager?

1. Previous experience in a senior shipping coordinator role within the art industry
2. Experience in fine art shipping, logistics, or freight forwarding
3. Knowledge of customs regulations, export, and CITES licensing
4. Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills for complex shipments
5. Experience coordinating with multiple stakeholders and regulatory bodies
6. Happy to be onsite 5 days a week
