Job description

This is an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated sales professional with a strong hunter mentality, determined to achieve agreed revenue goals. The role involves selling vessel tracking and compliance software to banks and corporates in the western half of North America. The ideal candidate will possess strong sales, interpersonal, and organizational skills, as this role is the most important link between us and our prospective customers. Candidates should be comfortable working with contacts from middle management up to CEO level in our target markets. Account Executives work collaboratively with our Subject Matter Experts within their territory to drive revenue (NNARR) through new subscriptions and upselling.

Responsibilities
  • Delivering an annual sales quota of $600K in NNARR.
  • Introductory and discovery meetings.
  • Management of own pipeline of prospects from lead generation to paying customer.
  • Responding to all inbound sales enquiries in a timely manner.
  • Identification of new business opportunities in the territory.
  • Systematic research to generate high-quality leads and identify key players.
  • Engaging directly with decision makers.
  • Maintaining accurate and complete customer records, activity records, KPI, and pipeline reports.
  • Attending trade conferences and industry events.
Requirements
  • Solid experience in SaaS-based sales to large enterprises.
  • Proven success in delivering a sales quota of over $600K per annum.
  • Experience selling enterprise software at C-level.
  • Ability to manage long and complex sales cycles with multiple stakeholders.
  • General working knowledge of the industries we sell to: Banking (Trade Finance and Ship Finance), Commodity trade, Oil & Gas trade, Maritime trade.
  • Networking and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Self-motivation with the ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Desire and ability to exceed targets and supplement their pipeline with additional lead-generation activity.
  • Existing senior and C-Level contacts in Banking, Oil & Gas, and Commodity Trading will be beneficial.
