Job description

Silent Sounds Communications Ltd is a rapidly expanding agency, based in High Wycombe, offering interpreting and translation services to the UK's public sector.


We are currently looking for a confident, motivated and enthusiastic Recruitment Administrator to join our friendly recruitment team and help us continue delivering an excellent service.


Key duties:
  1. Provide comprehensive administrative support throughout the freelance interpreter/translator onboarding process, from initial application to final compliance checks.
  2. Manage and promptly respond to all inquiries from prospective and current freelance interpreters/translators.
  3. Schedule and conduct initial interviews with suitable candidates applying for freelance interpreter/translator roles, evaluating their skills and suitability.
  4. Facilitate a smooth and efficient onboarding experience for all new freelance interpreters/translators.
  5. Thoroughly review and verify all applicants' documentation, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and that all necessary compliance documentation, including Enhanced DBS checks, are obtained.
  6. Send out and manage reference checks, ensuring timely receipt and review.
  7. Conduct Right to Work (RTW) checks, adhering to legal requirements.
  8. Maintain the recruitment database, ensuring all freelancer records are accurate, compliant, and consistently up to date.
  9. Actively search for suitable interpreters in specific geographical areas to meet client demands.
  10. Undertake additional recruitment-related tasks and projects as required, adapting to evolving business needs and recruitment strategies.

We are looking for someone who is:
  1. A self-motivated individual with a friendly and approachable demeanour.
  2. A great communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.
  3. Highly organised with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  4. Able to effectively multitask under pressure, manage time efficiently, and prioritise tasks.
  5. Confident working independently and as part of a team.
  6. Comfortable using MS Outlook, Word, and Excel (intermediate level).
  7. Experienced in an office or administrative environment (recruitment experience is a bonus, but not essential).

This is a full-time, office-based position with working hours of 09:00am - 5.30pm. Comprehensive training will be provided. After the full training program, there may be opportunities for occasional remote work, subject to business needs and team agreements.
