Property and Casualty Underwriter

Location: London

Salary: £55,000 - £65,000

Barker Munro recruitment is assisting in recruitment for a Global Insurance organisation within their multinational team, which is expanding their international client base.

As an Underwriter, you will be joining the growing Property and Casualty Multinational team, responsible for the performance of the direct book of business and supporting the needs of international clients.

This role will play a key part in the continued development of the offering to clients, driving and building key relationships across the market to satisfy client needs and grow the account.

Responsibilities include:

1. Underwriting key accounts.
2. Driving intelligent new business growth.
3. Acting as a senior authority holder within the business.
4. Providing training and development for less experienced team members.

Skills Required:

1. Strong technical underwriting skills in commercial property and casualty Multinational business.
2. Excellent trading skills and confident negotiation abilities.
3. Proven experience in handling large cases.
4. Strong ability to build, develop, and maintain broker relationships.
5. Achievement-oriented with the ability to organise workload to meet tight deadlines.
6. A good team player with a supportive and positive attitude.
7. Confident communication skills with the ability to challenge and influence others.
