You will ensure that the medicine management system for the practice is implemented and working well. This includes ensuring cost-effective prescribing, supporting colleagues and patients with medicine queries, and issuing prescriptions as an independent prescriber.
You will be guided by targets and requirements set by the NHS locally and nationally for our practice.
The Limes Medical Centre is looking for a clinical pharmacist that is comfortable working within a close team, to ensure our service provides care that is safe and effective. We are looking for a pharmacist that understands the needs and requirements of general practice medicines management, and is able to contribute to our desire for high quality care.
We are based across two sites, with the main site in Small Heath being the primary location. We are a practice that trains future GPs, and we are looking for innovative ways to ensure our service is sustainable whilst meeting the needs of our community. Having a clinical pharmacist join us is one step we are taking to help us deliver this.
The Limes Medical Centre wants a motivated clinical pharmacist who ideally has some experience of working in general practice previously. Your responsibilities encompass the full range of medicines management, including prescribing, reconciliation, optimisation, advice to colleagues, and issues related to clinical governance and safety.
