Job Description
Operation Wallacea is a UK-based conservation organisation that has been running research expeditions around the world for nearly 30 years. During this time, it has published almost 700 academic papers, described more than 80 new species to science, and provided high-quality environmental education and research experiences to thousands of school and university students globally.
We are looking for an Operations Manager with site management responsibilities, ideally with an interest and/or background in environmental sciences or conservation.
This role will focus on both expedition site management and ensuring that participants receive high-quality support in logistics, safety, and problem-solving when arranging travel to our research sites. You will be primarily involved in supporting the diverse needs of programme participants, with opportunities in other aspects of the organisation as well. Support and training will be provided. There will be opportunities to work on overseas expeditions during the summer and other times of the year.
This is a full-time position (9:00 AM - 5:30 PM) with a hybrid working model combining remote work and time at our headquarters in Lincolnshire (typically three days remote, two days in-office).
