Position: Mobile HGV Technician
Location: Derby
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 + Van + FC
Hours: M-F Days (39hrs)
Benefits: Van, Fuel card, paid door to door, all overtime paid at 1.5 X – 2 X, 25 days holiday + BH, M-F day shift

Mobile HGV Technician Opportunity

Looking to add an additional Mobile HGV Technician to the team to be based in Derby or surrounding area to cover the Midlands region. You will be working on a mixed fleet of HGV’s completing all servicing, maintenance, repairs and pre MOT checks.

Mobile HGV Technician Responsibilities:

Perform planned and reactive maintenance on a range of HGV’s to include gritters.
Working on a mixed fleet of HGV’s completing all servicing, maintenance, repairs and pre-MOT inspections.
Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults.
Repairing or replacing worn-out parts, such as brakes, clutches, and exhaust systems.
Using diagnostic tools and software to identify faults and resolve issues efficiently.
Performing electrical repairs, including wiring, lighting systems, and ECU faults.
Completing service reports, job sheets, and documentation for completed work.
Keeping accurate records of parts used, time taken, and repairs carried out.

Mobile HGV Technician Requirements:

Hold HGV qualifications or be time served.
Skilled in the servicing and maintenance of HGVs and large diesel-driven plant, including hydraulic and electrical systems.
Previous experience working on gritters highly advantageous.
Mechanical or electrical qualifications (time-served).
Ability to diagnose faults and carry out repairs on HGVs and large diesel-driven plant.
A full UK driving licence, HGV Class 1 or 2 qualification.
