MEDICAL DEVICE SALES MANAGER

Location: UK (Field Based)

Salary: £65-70K + Bonus + Car Allowance

Our global client, who manufactures medical devices, is looking for a Medical Device Sales Manager to join their team. You will be responsible for managing a small team of Territory Managers to achieve sales and profit targets, including recruitment, training, development, and performance management of the team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Medical Device Sales Manager, your key duties will include:

  1. The preparation and execution of the sales plan, including forecasts consistent with the wider strategy.
  2. Maintaining and growing market share across the designated portfolio.
  3. Identifying target accounts and understanding the successful sales process for each product.
  4. Assessing the training and development needs of the sales team and implementing appropriate training strategies.
  5. Using the company’s performance management systems to actively manage performance.
  6. Utilising analytics to inform the planning of the sales function.
  7. Supervising the completion of tenders in conjunction with the sales team and contracts administration.
  8. Working effectively with other functions including Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing to develop sales training, forecasts, and reporting.
  9. Collaborating with senior management to manage key customer and supplier relationships.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

To be considered for the role of Medical Device Sales Manager, you must have:

  1. Proven people management experience within a medical environment.
  2. Experience of managing a sales team with a national or regional structure.
  3. Experience within medical or pharmaceutical sales.
  4. Flexibility to travel across the UK, supporting the team on field visits.
  5. A full clean UK driving license.
  6. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  7. Good interpersonal skills to build rapport with customers.
  8. Excellent organisational and time management skills.
