Job Overview:

Our Client is seeking an experienced IT Systems Professional to support and manage our company’s IT infrastructure, ensuring it operates efficiently, securely, and effectively supports our business objectives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in systems administration, network management, and security and will work alongside our IT team.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Manage and Optimize IT Systems: Ensure high availability and performance of all IT systems, networks, and servers.
2. Hardware and Software Management: Oversee the installation, configuration, and management of hardware and software systems across the organization.
3. Troubleshooting and Security: Monitor and troubleshoot IT systems to quickly identify and resolve issues, minimizing downtime. Implement and enforce security protocols to safeguard company data and ensure compliance with industry standards.
4. Project Support: Assist in managing IT projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and implementations, ensuring timely delivery and minimal disruption to business operations.
5. Documentation and Collaboration: Develop and maintain system documentation, including network configurations, software installations, and troubleshooting guides. Collaborate with other departments to understand their technology needs and deliver effective solutions.
6. Training and Support: Provide training and support to staff, ensuring efficient use of IT systems and tools.
7. Policy Development: Assist in reviewing and improving IT policies, procedures, and workflows to enhance system performance and security.
8. Technology Innovation: Stay up-to-date with the latest technology trends and innovations, making recommendations for new tools or upgrades as needed.

Essential Requirements:

1. At least 4-5 years of experience in IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and cloud technologies.
2. Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical staff including maintaining relationships with 3rd party Providers.
3. Experience with system monitoring, backup solutions, and disaster recovery plans.
4. Proficiency in managing IT security protocols, including firewalls, encryption, and antivirus software.
5. Solid understanding of data management, database systems, and IT compliance standards.
6. Excellent problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to IT system maintenance.
7. Ability to work as part of a two person IT Team, cross-training as required.

Preferred Requirements:

1. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, etc.).
2. Familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, etc.).
3. Knowledge of programming or scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, etc.) is a plus.
4. Project management experience.
5. Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator, Cisco, ITIL) are a plus.

Work Arrangements: At least 2-4 days a week/onsite (open for discussion)
