Founded back in 2000 by brothers Ed and Tom Martin, ETM Group is a multisite pub and bar business based in central London. The business is fast-paced and exciting with some of London's best-rated gastro pubs and bars in their portfolio, including The Botanist Sloane Square, The Botanist Broadgate Circle, Aviary, Burdock, Greenwood, The Jugged Hare, Chiswell Street Dining Rooms, and The Hat & Tun.

ETM Group head office provides the back-office support for Maven Leisure Limited, a newly founded independent hospitality company. Beechwood, Maven's first site, opened in November 2021.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

Commercial Analysis & Reporting

• Weekly group cashflow forecasting & management
• Management of company budget & reforecast model
• Management of Junior Analyst
• Review of weekly trading report
• Production of monthly board packs
• P&L analysis (site profitability review, sales mix reporting, labour productivity analysis, gross margin analysis)
• Investment analysis (site appraisals, capex ROI analysis, market reporting)
• Competitor analysis (price benchmarking)

Financial Control

• Management of Accounts Payable team (team of 2)
• Management of Revenue & Four-weekly payroll Accounts Assistant (1 person)
• Review & assist with the production of monthly management accounts
• Review monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations
• Responsible for production of monthly payroll on Fourth
• Responsible for all pension submissions (monthly & four-weekly) through NEST
• Responsible for preparation and submission of P32s/P11ds/PSAs
• Quarterly VAT preparation & submissions / liaising with HMRC
• Monthly Beer Duty preparation & submissions
• Supplying information as necessary to outsourced capital allowances
• Main contact for Audit/ Corporation Tax
• Ensure continued compliance with current policies & procedures regarding internal financial controls
• HSBC/Natwest bank liaison / contact
• Ad hoc project work

Knowledge, Experience & Competencies

• Qualified accountant
• Experience managing a small team
• Hands-on approach to SME finances
• Ability to get into the detail whilst also looking at the wider commercial agenda
• Ideally with multi-site hospitality experience
