Job Title: Head of Finance

Location: Remote (London or Malta)

Reports To: Group Financial Controller

Job Summary:

As the Head of Finance for a rapidly growing iGaming business, you will lead the financial operations of the business, ensuring financial stability, compliance with regulations, and alignment with the company's strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Operations & Oversight

1. Lead all financial functions, including accounting, financial reporting, tax planning, and treasury management.
2. Ensure timely, accurate, and compliant financial reporting in line with accounting standards.
3. Develop, implement, and monitor internal financial controls and policies.
4. Manage cash flow, investments, and financial risks to support business objectives.

Data Analysis & Strategic Growth

1. Leverage financial and operational data to uncover business insights, trends, and growth opportunities.
2. Design and implement data-driven strategies to optimize revenue, profitability, and operational efficiency.
3. Create financial models and analytical tools to support data-backed decision-making.
4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive key growth initiatives.
5. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide actionable recommendations to senior leadership.
6. Develop and execute financial strategies that align with and support overall organizational goals.
7. Provide strategic financial guidance to senior management to inform business decisions.
8. Monitor financial performance and design improvement strategies when necessary.
9. Lead financial forecasting, budgeting, and long-term financial planning processes.

Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management

1. Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax laws, and corporate governance standards.
2. Act as the primary liaison with external auditors, regulatory authorities, and financial institutions.
3. Establish and enforce risk management policies to safeguard the company's assets.
4. Stay abreast of changes in financial regulations and ensure the business is compliant.

Leadership & Team Development

1. Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team.
2. Cultivate a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team.
3. Partner with other departments to optimize financial efficiency and operational excellence.

Stakeholder Engagement & Reporting

1. Prepare and deliver insightful financial reports to the board of directors, investors, and senior leadership.
2. Support fundraising efforts, investor relations, and financial negotiations.
3. Build and maintain strong relationships with banks, investors, and other financial partners.

Qualifications & Skills:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
2. 5+ years of progressive experience in senior finance leadership roles.
3. Deep understanding of financial management, reporting, and regulatory compliance.
4. Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
5. Experience with financial software and data analysis tools.
6. Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
7. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
