£80,000 to £100,000 (DOE) plus package

A growing construction company based in the Chelmsford area is currently looking to appoint a new Head of Finance.

The company specializes in providing construction services to Developers, Main Contractors, Local Authorities, and Private Clients. They have a number of distinct revenue streams and due to organic growth, they are now ready to appoint a senior level Head of Finance.

You will oversee the company's finance team, implement medium and long-term strategic financial decisions, and work very closely with the Managing Director during an exciting period of growth for the business.

The company is well established with a strong brand in successful project delivery on behalf of their strong client base.

ROLE:

1. Lead on acquisitions
2. Strategic planning with the MD
3. Financial risk management
4. Experience of project and strategic funding options
5. Preparing budgets and forecasts
6. Analysing variances to budgets
7. Preparing statutory accounts
8. Ensuring compliance with regulations
9. Managing cash flow
10. Safeguarding company assets
11. Reviewing and updating financial policies and procedures
12. Maintaining banking relationships
13. Leading and supporting the accounts, preconstruction, and commercial teams

CANDIDATE:

1. Experience within the Developer / Construction / Civil Engineering or Utilities sectors
2. Must be a CIMA/ACA/ACCA qualified Finance Professional
3. Must have extensive senior level experience within companies that have turnovers in excess of £30 million per annum
4. Must be based within a comfortable commute of the Chelmsford area as the role is office-based Monday to Friday
5. The successful individual will have proven skills in providing financial solutions that can assist the company in its ambitious growth plans
6. Have previously implemented medium and long-term strategic financial plans
