The Opportunity

As Head of Finance, you will lead the financial operations of a multi-entity group, reporting directly to the Managing Director. You will oversee a team of nine finance professionals, ensuring high standards of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance.

This role requires strong leadership, commercial insight, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders while driving efficiencies and strategic improvements across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead financial operations and reporting, including group consolidations, management accounts, and treasury management.
• Drive financial strategy through budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow modelling.
• Support commercial decision-making by reviewing contracts, insurance policies, and financial risks.
• Lead finance projects and support M&A activity, ensuring seamless integration and value creation.
• Manage and develop the finance team, providing leadership, mentoring, and fostering a high-performance culture.
• Collaborate with external auditors and ensure compliance with technical accounting standards.

Candidate Profile:

• Fully qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA or equivalent) with extensive experience in a commercial environment.
• Strong technical and consolidation skills, with high attention to detail.
• Proven leadership and team management experience in a fast-paced setting.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Analytical mindset, with a track record of driving improvements and efficiencies.
• Proficiency in Excel and accounting systems.
