Job Description:

Icon LifeSaver are acknowledged world leaders in portable water purification. Our microbiological water purifiers remove 99.99% of contaminants including viruses, bacteria, cysts, parasites and microplastics from water. We use ultra filtration (UF) technology that needs no electricity or chemicals. Our products are widely used by consumers who love the outdoors - campers, hikers, trekkers, preppers and for off-grid living. They are also extensively used by global humanitarian organisations for disaster recovery & emergency preparedness, Governments and the military & emergency services. We turn contaminated water into clean drinkable water, instantly!

Based in Marks Tey, Colchester we are looking for an experienced Head of Business Development & Account Management, reporting to the CEO, to join the team. This is an exciting role to help shape the future of LifeSaver by getting involved as the business advances on a growth strategy. The ideal candidate will be a team player as well as being self-motivated to strive for improvement across the business. They will be highly organised and capable of managing a dynamic workload whilst relishing working with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Duties:
  1. Manage the existing global Distributor network covering N America, Japan and Europe – strategy development, reviews and general support
  2. Develop new direct business with global humanitarian bodies including NGO’s, Foundations, UN and others
  3. Develop new direct B2B opportunities for ‘bricks & mortar’ retail sales and distribution in the UK and other regions
  4. Develop a strategy to access the ‘emergency preparedness’ market
  5. Respond to regular in-bound business enquiries
  6. Monitor and respond to complex RFI’s, RFQ’s and other tender opportunities
  7. Work closely with the Head of Marketing to develop imaginative lead generation campaigns
  8. Work closely with the Head of Marketing to support the global e-com strategy
Required Skills and Experience:
  1. A good understanding and experience of global account and channel management
  2. Ideally experience of NGO’s, UKAid, UN, USAid, etc.
  3. Experience of responding to complex RFP’s
  4. A good understanding of the role of global e-com, particularly Amazon and Shopify
  5. An experienced, strategic and creative new business developer
  6. Flexibility to work to global timezones
  7. Financially numerate
  8. Experience of HubSpot or similar CRM platform
  9. Ability to work as part of a small management team to drive the business forward
  10. Ability to quickly understand and demonstrate technical products
  11. Excellent interpersonal and written skills
  12. Tenacious, persistent and hardworking
  13. Ability to work to demanding deadlines
Package:

Competitive Salary + Uncapped Bonus

Full time. Hours are 9 to 5 and you will need to be in the office at least 3 days a week.

22 days leave + Bank Holidays + Christmas shutdown

Due to the global nature of the role, flexibility to work out of hours on global calls is required.

There will be some international travel but online calls are the preferred route.
