About the Opportunity

The way to unlock the power of SkilledUp Life’s Volunteer talent pool is through Human Resources (HR) Volunteers. The HR Volunteer Team is responsible for the smooth running of SkilledUp Life. As the head of the HR Team, you would play a significant role in turning the organization into a high-performing business. Your key role includes, but is not limited to:

  • Refine and execute the HR strategy, challenging the status quo.
  • Manage HR sub-teams.
  • Manage succession planning.

  • Fluent in English – both written and spoken.
  • Undergraduate degree or similar education in HR.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent record keeping.
  • Self-learner and ability to execute tasks without any supervision.
  • Ability to maintain the highest level of professionalism.
  • Demonstrate existing leadership skills of getting the best out of people.
Activities

Working with our CEO, your Volunteer role includes but is not limited to:

HR Strategy and Continuous Improvement:
  • Review, refine and maintain the overall HR Strategy and Plan.
  • Review, refine and maintain HR Procedures.
  • Review, refine and maintain Volunteer Handbook.
  • Review, refine and maintain Volunteer process flow diagram working with the CEO.
  • Review, refine and maintain HR Key Performance Objectives.
Volunteer Sourcing:
  • Spearhead the Recruitment sub-team to ensure only the best Volunteers are onboarded to the team.
  • Ensure there are no skill gaps in the team.
  • Introduce and maintain a high level of professionalism in the team.
  • Take swift action with non-performing team members.
Succession Planning:
  • Ensure succession planning is built into the HR process and strategy.
  • Secure replacements one month before the end of the Volunteer Terms of each team member.
  • Ensure:
  • Train for the first 2 weeks.
  • Shadow for the next 2 weeks.
  • Take over the role.
Tools used:
  • Google Workspace.
  • Trello.
  • SkilledUp Life.

You have significant freedom to evolve within your role. Challenge the existing systems and processes and continually improve them.

Acquired Work Experience

This is a wonderful opportunity to become a leader in HR. If you have existing experience in HR but lack leadership skills, this role is for you.
