Job description

GMAC are looking for a Filmmakers Programme Assistant to assist with the delivery of film commissioning scheme, Little Pictures, for its 5th year.

GMAC Film is seeking a Programme Assistant to support the delivery of Little Pictures, our micro-budget film scheme that nurtures new talent in Scotland’s screen sector. This role is ideal for someone looking to develop their career in film and is passionate about supporting emerging filmmakers, particularly those from underrepresented backgrounds.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide administrative support, including processing forms, booking venues, travel, and accommodation.
  2. Assist with film production paperwork and ensure successful delivery of project deliverables.
  3. Coordinate kit bookings and set up rooms/equipment for events and screenings.
  4. Support social media and communications, including photography, videography, and content updates.
  5. Handle data collection and entry for reports and evaluations.
  6. Assist with tasks such as processing invoices and expenses.
  7. Build and maintain relationships with partners, funders, and filmmakers.
Who We're Looking For:
  1. Organised and detail-oriented with strong admin and multitasking skills.
  2. Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  3. Knowledge of the Scottish screen sector and an interest in film.
  4. Basic understanding of film equipment and production is desirable.
  5. Strong communication skills and experience working with diverse communities.
  6. Passion for diversity and inclusion in the film industry.

Location: Glasgow
Salary: £23,000 pro rata
Hours: 30 /week
Length: 5-month contract
