Customer Service Manager

Location: RM20 1WJ - Office Location
Type: Permanent
Rate: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum

We are looking for a Customer Service Manager in the South East to join a growing aftersales and service team for a market leader in construction equipment.

Due to nationwide growth, the company is expanding their team.

This is a full-time permanent position responsible for the management of the customer service team and is commutable from the RM20 postcode.

The Role - Customer Service Manager:

  1. Lead and manage a team of seven across three locations (both in person and remotely)
  2. Oversee ERP & CRM systems, ensuring efficiency and proper use
  3. Monitor order processing from receipt to dispatch
  4. Drive customer portal adoption and enhance online order processes
  5. Coordinate with warehouse & logistics teams for smooth operations
  6. Analyse and manage pricing & discount structures
  7. Handle customer queries, complaints, and escalations
  8. Plan and execute seasonal promotions and campaigns
  9. Manage team performance, development, and remote workers
  10. Work with internal departments to improve customer satisfaction
  11. Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of the team

Key Candidate Requirements - Customer Service Manager:
  1. 5 years of experience in a Customer Service Management / Supervisor position
  2. Experience using Microsoft Dynamics CRM or similar CRM system
  3. Experienced in leading and motivating a team of 5 or more
  4. Must hold a UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
  5. Excellent communication & organisational skills
  6. Prepared to travel within the UK and potentially Europe when required
  7. Willingness to work in a demanding & customer-focused environment
  8. Ability to build & maintain employee and customer relationships
  9. Good Microsoft Office Skills: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Workday
  10. Knowledge of SAP/AS400 Platforms (desirable)

The Package - Customer Service Manager:
  1. £35,000-£40,000 per annum
  2. 50/50 office-based and hybrid
  3. Monday - Friday Day Shifts 37.5 hours
  4. 33 days holiday (including annual leave)
  5. Up to 8% matched pension
  6. Company laptop and phone provided
  7. Car Allowance
  8. Life Assurance
