Lead Software Engineer

Manchester | Hybrid (Mostly Onsite)

Stack: .NET / C#, React, TypeScript | Bonus: AI / LLMs

This isn’t just another dev role.

We’re working with a startup that already has thousands of customers and a live product but now, they’re rebuilding for scale. And to do that, they need someone serious.

You’ll be their first permanent tech hire. The person who lays the foundations. The one who turns vision into product. Code into value. And eventually becomes the company’s technical leader.

What you’ll actually do:

1. Rebuild and reimagine the platform from the ground up
2. Own the full stack: .NET / C# backend, React + TypeScript frontend
3. Set the technical direction and standards
4. Work shoulder-to-shoulder with founders on product and strategy
5. Hire, mentor, and grow a high-performing dev team
6. Bonus: Experiment with AI/LLM features as the product evolves

What they’re looking for:

1. A full-stack engineer who’s strong with .NET/C#, React, and TypeScript
2. Someone who’s hands-on, but thinks like a leader
3. Comfortable in fast-paced, “let’s figure it out” environments
4. Based in or near Manchester — in-office collaboration is key
5. Bonus points if you're excited by AI or have dabbled with LLMs
