Commercial/Personal Lines Account Handler

H. A. Sheppard & Company Limited Insurance Brokers are currently recruiting for an Account Handler based at our office working Monday to Friday, full time. H. A. Sheppard & Company Limited Insurance Brokers has been offering clients independent insurance advice for over 70 years. We offer independent insurance services to commercial and personal clients from the local area and further afield. We are Personal and Commercial family Insurance Brokers with our office in Tunbridge Wells High Street since 1965. Established in 1933 when H A Sheppard was 21. Incorporated as H A Sheppard & Co Ltd in 1954 now trading as Sheppard Insurance Brokers.

The successful candidate will be responsible for arranging insurance policies for customers and generating revenue by servicing accounts and managing new and existing client relationships.

To apply for the role you must have:

1. Knowledge of a range of insurances including commercial and personal insurance
2. Strong communication skills and confidence in dealing with insurance customers, face to face and over the telephone
3. Experience of undertaking duties such as renewals and midterm adjustments and new business quotes
4. Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work within FCA guidelines at all times
5. Good working knowledge of Open GI
